Good News To Be 1.0
A handful of loyal users from the Trillian Forums are currently beta testing the 1.0-beta5 release and I already got Beta 6 (perhaps it will even be Release Candidate 1) in stock.
So, Good News, you came a long way and are now mature enough for your first release with a 1 as first version number digit.
But this won't be the last big release. Not at all! I have a lot of things planned for the future. Most notably, a request by Christian R., the "Merge Group" feature. This can be described as a Feed Group (we already have that) which does contain several feeds (as usually) but behaves like it was one feed. Think about it, that's going to rock!
The second great change which is going to be implemented is a complete redesign of the Preferences, especially the feed settings. The target is to enable the user to configure a set of default settings. Then, he is going to be able to configure each setting for each feed individually or to choose to use the default value.
So far. The first public 1.0 release (a Release Candidate, probably) is going to happen during the next week. Stay tuned!
